Hot Off the Press

Special Topics In Art and Visual Culture – Relief Printmaking is a new course offered this Spring 2015. The topics covered in the is class include: various printmaking techniques, professional handling of prints and works on paper, the historical and contemporary relevance of printmaking, and printmaking as a means for social change.  We started the class off with linocut and chine-colle´ and are currently working on a three layer reduction woodcut. The semester will close with the introduction to monotype and students will participate in an exchange portfolio that explores activism in printmaking.
