Presenting our business plan to the funding board was a very realistic aspect that exemplified “real business.” We knew that we had to be completely confident in the presentation and show them that we knew all aspects of the business. As our group learned, being confident in your product and showing enthusiasm is essential to convincing outside investors for funding and proving to customers why they need your product. Those skills are the ones that will make you one step ahead and be successful in any business career.
In conclusion, RBE is an excellent experience that you will not get in any other class. I learn by doing things hands-on and this is exactly what this course allows you to do, as well as preparing you for the real-world encounters. Although it was quite a bit of work and stressful at times, having your mentor there to ask questions that you have is truly awesome. There is no better way to learn than from someone who has experienced it firsthand. I truly enjoyed living the Real Life, Real Business Experience. (Matt Ringle)
The RBE experience showed me what professionals in the field already look for and how they think. It taught me to really get after it and do real things as opposed to other classes where you are stuck to a book. This is a truly unique class and allows students to take control the course.
