As I continue to reflect on last weekend’s Butler University Bulldog Contest, I can’t help but think about just how cool it was to see 117 of us bullies in one place.<\/p>\n

Three bullies are always better than one!<\/p><\/div><\/p>\n

After all, we are a special breed that takes special care and attention.<\/p>\n

Of course, I’ve been the recipient of a lot of love and I’ve had many a day in the sun, so it was cool to see the other bulldogs get a shot at glory. Not to mention, we all brought a lot of joy and smiles to the faces of those who came to watch.<\/p>\n

There were even a couple of bulldogs in the mix that were brought by volunteers of the Indiana Bulldog Rescue and who are available for adoption. They deserve a good home!<\/p>\n

So many people get in over their heads with the cost and care of a bulldog and its in times likethose that Indiana Bulldog Rescue springs to action and comes to the aid of those bulldogs.<\/p>\n

I am glad that the fine folks from the IBR could be at the Bulldog Beauty Contest this year and appreciate what they do for the less fortunate bullies across the state.<\/p>\n

Because whether we are official mascots, the family dog, or rescued from the streets, we’re all beautiful bulldogs.<\/p>\n

That said, I leave you with a poem about yours truly as written by one of my fans, Elizabeth Scriba. It was just so nice that I had to share it. I hope you enjoy it.<\/p>\n
