The Butler Women’s Basketball team took the court today, February 14th, for an intense away game against the Providence Friars. In a highly anticipated rematch filled with excitement, the Bulldogs emerged on top with a final score of 55-48. Following the hard-fought victory, the Dawgs now boast a season record of 11-13, while the Providence Friars fall to 11-15.
From the opening tip-off, it was evident that the game would be a close, back-and-forth contested affair. In the first quarter, Butler trailed slightly, while Providence led with 13 points over Butler’s 12. However, the Bulldogs quickly found their rhythm in the second quarter, dominating the court with a commanding 28 points over the Friars 19.
As the game progressed into the third quarter, both teams matched point for point, bringing in 15 apiece. The intensity only escalated in the fourth and final quarter, where Butler maintained their composure and pulled out another Bulldog win.
