The Butler Bulldogs men’s Basketball team had a home date with the Marquette Golden
Eagles last Wednesday night. The Bulldogs were coming off a road loss to the Georgetown
Hoyas, and looking to bounce back against Marquette. Butler, however, would be missing key player Bryce Nze. The game started very poorly for the dogs. As they got down 41-25 at halftime, and the second half didn’t get any better. Butler ended up losing the game, 73-57.

One of the few bright spots in this one was the play of Chuck Harris, as he continues to impress for the Dawgs. Chuck ended with a game high of 21 points, and is now averaging 11.3 on the season. He will definitely be one of the focal points as the season winds down. This marks the second straight game that the dawgs struggled mightily on both ends of the floor. Bryce Golden was another player who benefited from added usage with Nze out. Golden scored 18 points on 7/10 shooting. Another bright spot was walk-on Mike Parker played for the first time in his career. He recorded 1 turnover, and three points as he hit his first shot he attempted in his career.

The Bulldogs will next be in action on Sunday in Cincinnati to play Xavier. Xavier is
coming off a big loss to St. Johns in which they let up 93 points. Butler hopes to have Nze back by the time the game rolls around on Sunday. Butler needs something to change after these last two showings.
