The Butler Women’s Tennis team faced off against Purdue on February 10th. The Boilermakers dominated the Bulldogs, winning 4-1.
In doubles play, Bulldogs Delaney Schurhamer and Jordan Schildcrout lose 6-2 by Kennedy Gibbs and Ashlie Wilson. Boilermakers Tara Caterina Milic and Carmen Gallardo Guevara clinch the match 7-6 against Natalie Boesing and Chase Metcalf. Lauren Cook and Norah Balthazor secure a win by default for Butler.
For the singles match ups, two games went unfinished with Boilermaker Kennedy Gibbs leading the sets against Delaney Schurhamer and Ashlie Wilson leading against Bulldog Elle Martin. For the Bulldogs, Natalie Boesing loses 6-3, 6-2 against Carmen Gallardo Guevara. Chase Metcalf is defeated 6-4, 6-2 against Boilermaker Juana Larranaga. Tara Katarina Milic takes the win against Bulldog Norah Balthazar 6-2, 6-1. The Bulldogs secure a win by default from Emma Beavin.
