Atlanta Braves"},"content":{"rendered":"\r\n<p>The Mets traveled to Atlanta to play a four game series against the division rival Braves. The Braves come into the series off to a blazing hot start with a record of 6 and 2. While the Mets come into the series on the right track have won three of their last four after getting off to an 0 and 5 start.<\/p>\r\n<p><strong>Game 1<\/strong><\/p>\r\n<p>The Mets took the first game of the series from the Braves winning a thriller by a final score of 8 to 7. Brandon Nimmo got out of his slump in this game going 4 for 4 with 2 home runs and 5 Runs batted in. Jorge Lop\u00e9z bent but did not break in the ninth inning only giving up one run to make the score 8 to 7, but then Lop\u00e9z got Travis d\u2019Arnaud to fly out to the warning track in right field where Starling Marte caught it on the run to end the game.<\/p>\r\n<p><strong>Game 2<\/strong><\/p>\r\n<p>The Braves jumped out to a 6 to 0 lead earlier but the Mets would rally back in the eighth and ninth inning but fall just short and lose the game by a final score of 6 to 5. Ronald Acu\u00f1a jr. was huge for the Braves going 2 for 3 with a walk and scoring three of the teams six runs. Ozzie Albies was also impressive, going 2 for four and driving in 2 runs.<\/p>\r\n<p><strong>Game 3<\/strong><\/p>\r\n<p>Game 3, a potentially pivotable after the teams split the first two, was postponed due to rain and will be made up the next time the Mets come to Atlanta on September 26.<\/p>\r\n<p><strong>Game 4<\/strong><\/p>\r\n<p>Game 4 of the series had the Mets off to a hot start, jumping out to a 3 to nothing lead on a Brett Baty RBI single in the first inning, a Brandon Nimmo RBI double and an error by Braves Shortstop Orlando Arcia leading to Brandon Nimmo scoring. The Mets then added 3 more runs in the third inning on a Francisco Alvarez RBI double, a Jeff Mcneil RBI double and a DJ Stewart two-run home run making the score seven to nothing. The Mets would continue to pour it on winning the final game of the series by a final score of 16 to 4. The player of the game for the Mets was Jeff Mcneil who went 2 for 3 in the game with a double and 2 walks while driving in three runs.<\/p>\r\n<p>Next, the Mets head back home for a three game series against the Kansas City Royals.
