Vid.ly – make your videos playable anywhere, on any device

Vid.ly is a site that will take a video and convert it so it can be viewed on any device. You It gives you a unique Vid.ly URL and embed code for the video that you can share via email, web site, social network or you can embed the video on a site or mobile app. The video conversions are stored on their site and when someone clicks on the video/link, it detects their device and operating system and then delivers the correct video to them.

We will also be hosting multiple sessions on our new learning management system, Moodle.

Using RSS Feeds to Keep Current with Scholarship – So much information is readily available online so the question arises: How can I organize all of the sites I visit and sift through all of the stories and articles? Using an RSS feed through something like Google Reader is one of many solutions that can keep you organized and save you time.

Using Social Bookmarking to Build Course Resources

Social Bookmarking is a way of collecting online resources in a single place accessible from any computer, anywhere. As such, it is a powerful tool for aggregating course resources into a single site. Features such as commenting and tagging facilitate engagement in of course content both within and outside the classroom. This session covers the tool Diigo and includes relevant examples from courses across the campus.
