Starting Simple
Logo Assignment

The first thing I created in this class was a basic logo displaying my name. It, like the other items on this page, was created using Adobe Illustrator. Looking back, this is a little cartoony, but I still think it was a fun way to get the class off the ground. I can’t say what caused me to choose such terrifying colors.
Spaceship Assignment
After completing the logo, we moved on to what seemed like the most difficult project in the entire world, outside of escaping from Alcatraz. We had to construct a spaceship on Illustrator. Turns out, it wasn’t so tough. I came away with this:
I was pretty proud of this creation, despite its impracticality as an actual spaceship. And the fact it appears to be emerging from a swamp.
Vector Assignment
The final, relatively basic thing we were asked to create in Illustrator was a more comprehensive logo using vector art. In other words, it had to be more than our name. Hopefully, you’ve seen the episode of Spongebob Squarepants that this logo references. Yes, I am five years old.
I had no idea what to do when given this assignment. Somehow, I ended up on this topic. I took a picture of a lemon from the Internet, did the best I could tracing it, and went to town with Illustrator effects. And no, Lord Voldemort is not in the Spongebob Squarepants episode this logo depicts.
