{"id":255,"date":"2014-01-27T21:24:57","date_gmt":"2014-01-28T02:24:57","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.butler.edu\/demia\/?p=255"},"modified":"2014-02-03T23:25:10","modified_gmt":"2014-02-04T04:25:10","slug":"meeting-notes-jan-27","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/blogs.butler.edu\/demia\/2014\/01\/27\/meeting-notes-jan-27\/","title":{"rendered":"Meeting Notes Jan 27"},"content":{"rendered":"<p align=\"center\">Demia Minutes for January 27, 2014<\/p>\n<p>We started the meeting off with an icebreaker introduction game to introduce the new members with the old ones.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Block Party:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><b>5-830 pm. is when people are needed and the shift are per half hour to hour. <\/b><\/li>\n<li>It will be in the <b>Riley Room in Atherton Union<\/b>.<\/li>\n<li>It\u2019s a pretty low-key event and just need people to man the booth and hand out free condoms.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>***If you\u2019re interested in signing up there is a <a title=\"Winter Block Party Sign Up\" href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/document\/d\/12jS4BqzizAwSUsQ7DntYPc2xe3fepRBaQQ6JqldORBU\/edit?usp=sharing\" target=\"_blank\">Google document<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Reach:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Zoe will be sending out an email on the listserv letting everyone know what is going on and a bunch of cool events to check out.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Vagina Monologues:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>This year we are going to try and do something different and call it \u201cVagina Monologues: Hashtag Turn it Up.\n<ul>\n<li>We will be doing our own style of Vag Mon and trying to incorporate our own monologs to have in the show<\/li>\n<li>This year we are also looking at combining it with some people in the Deaf community and have ASL aspects<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>It will be on <b>April 3 and 5 at 7:30pm on Eidson-Duckwall Recital Hall in Robertson Hall. <\/b><\/p>\n<p>Zoe will be trying to formulate something to add monologues you are interested in doing that will be sent out in the list serv.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Demia Execs will be figuring out a deadline to send these in by.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>HJR-3:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>We briefly discussed HJR-3 and what Demia members\u2019 feelings were about it.<\/li>\n<li>Check out the <a title=\"HJR-3 Admendment\" href=\"http:\/\/iga.in.gov\/legislative\/2014\/legislators\/\" target=\"_blank\">article<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Elections:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Soon we will be holding an election to determine Exec board members<\/li>\n<li>We personally have set up the exec board as a very open and it is not a strict job and anyone is allowed to come to exec board meetings.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>***<b>Every other Thursdays at 8:30pm at Starbucks are exec board meetings<\/b><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Internationali-TEA Time:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>It is an outside Demia hangout to chill and hangout in a less formal setting to get to know members better and to bring everyone\u2019s intersectionality to different topics that are on peoples\u2019 minds.<\/li>\n<li><b>They also occur on the alternate Thursdays of exec meetings and will generally happen at a member\u2019s house. Check out the facebook group for the location to be posted.
