SCORCHED WAVES
On March 9, 2012
by ERIC
The asphalt drenched with the sun’s rays
Taking swigs of the fountain of youth to ease the outcome
of which the wrinkles consist
But regurgitating the truth of the drought
Sun burns giving out like citations
The people pleading for clouds
The big apple rots in the heat
Sunlight stains the streets
And cripples the trees
Drying out the leaves
The Destination is paved with perspiration from the eyebrows
This sweat in beads
Is conquered by a slow gust
Of the summer breeze
Heat waves relief
Or calm to future grief
