  • ONE TONGUE

    by STEVIE

We treason, and indent with they have
lost and them. For I shall hold that man
whose shall ask me for one pen cost
ransom home. Revolted never did fall off,
my sever liege, but by the chance of war.
To prove that true need no more but one tongue for all.

  • SOME ADVICE

    by DESTINY

    Let me tell the world,
    that life is all about
    hardship. There are obstacles
    and mazes of life that
we have to go through to
    become better people
    the things we go through
    can only make us stronger
    I mean you know what
    they say “What doesn’t
    kill you, makes you stronger”
    And besides God wouldn’t
    put you through something
    you couldn’t bare anyway.
So just live life to the fullest
    Also remember you have to
    go through the bad
    to get to the good.

  • LETTER TO MY FATHER

    by DESTINY

    Hey dad! How are you?
I miss and love you a lot.
Well I miss what I can
    barely remember
    I see a profile that…
    looks something like mine
    But that’s not much.
    You were here
    now you’re gone.
    Where were you when,
    I needed you?
    You were supposed to teach
    me things that my mother
    couldn’t. Don’t get me wrong,
But there’s just some things my
    mom can’t comprehend
    as a woman. Like the
    way a man is supposed
to treat me. Or how to
    be tough when my backs
    against the wall. When
    I needed you the most
    you weren’t there for me.
I used to yearn for your
    presence, now I just accept
    the fact that you didn’t
want me. That spark of hope
I had for you, will always
hold a tiny place in my
heart. I mean you are my
dad, and I still wish you were
    brave enough to have ME,
I said ME as your daughter,
    your child, your baby girl.
I wish you were brave enough
to stick around, to see ME
I said ME grow into a
    BEAUTIFUL young lady.
    What can I say though?
    It’s your loss not mine
    you’re the one who missed
    out on what could’ve been
the best years of your life.
    You missed out on
    Father Hood.

  • SEAN MEADEN

    by JAMMONICA

Sean Meaden is a dancer who worked as a farmer, who loves dancing and choreography. He helps kids carry their swag to the stage. Meaden believes that his dancers can make it to the big leagues. Anytime judges make decisions it’s sometimes difficult. In case of not winning, we feel in complete utter failure. JasMariee, Princeton, Shaylee, Britney, Ray, Naty are the captains of the squad. Jassie said “we need some more dancers”. “Unless you’re a relatable person you don’t understand why we need more dancers to our squad”, said Naty. Princeton made a triple back flip move that was unprecedented. It was very unique how he made the move. Sean said, “The competition is coming up soon, so we only have three weeks to practice.” He named several dance twists that we had to master in the next three weeks. The team was determined to master the glamorous play house. Fergie was our idol on the squad. Three weeks after that competition practice, we celebrated because we won.

  • SUBSTITUTE

    by CHELSEA

My teacher had a baby, so she is not here. Everybody was talking, and being disobedient. Ms. Gant, my sub for the next week or so, was getting upset and furious. She scowled at one of friends and said “Get out!” He rebelliously stood up, and said “I ain’t doing nothing!” She looked at him, said “don’t ever come back!” When he was leaving he said, “Shut up” to somebody. The teacher headed toward the door and said, “Did he just tell me to shut up?”
