I tried.
\nSometimes I think I try too hard,
\nbut Hell,
\nI try don’t I?<\/p>\n

I work my way down
\nto worse than scum on the bottom of your shoe.
\nI work my way up,
\nand my trying leaves me feeling blue.<\/p>\n

My 20\/20 glasses broke,
\nso now I’m stuck a 20\/40 lazy eyed,
\nbut you look at me and say,
\n\u201cDamn, she’s got pretty eyes!\u201d<\/p>\n

I tweet what I ate for breakfast
\nnot because I like,
\nbut just because I’m mindless.
\nAnd like my mind controlled drones, you follow.<\/p>\n

I’m sucked deep into an abyss of
\nattention and bliss.
\nBut the sad thing about it is,
\nI hate what I’ve become.<\/p>\n

You follow who I’m listening too,
\nwhat I’m wearing,
\nwhat I’m eating,
\nand if I’m sharing.<\/p>\n

But in the end, what have you become?
\nMindless, like me.
\nSo I re-begin the journey to work my way BACK to scum.
\nWhy?<\/p>\n

Because I LIKE being a reject!
\nBecause I LIKE being able to be myself!
\nBecause I LIKE having true friends!
\nBECAUSE I LIKE ME!<\/p>\n

I’m your four-eyed nerd.
\nYour wrack-a-doodle poindexter.
\nYour scummy shoe, and
\nYOUR WORST NIGHTMARE!<\/p>\n

Besides,
\nIt’s always the quiet
\nones you have to
