An Important (overlooked) Lesson:

RBE is a 3 credit hour class, however sometimes it feels like a 5 or 6 credit hour class. There’s a lot of work invovled. More than you might expect. It’s all important work too. You really can’t afford to get lazy on any assignment because it all builds up for the final presentation. That being said, the most important thing to remember is treat this class like it’s a 6 credit hour class. If you think something should only take an hour, allow 2 (because honestly, it’s going to take you three).  If you allow more time to begin with, you won’t stress when you need more time. Then, when you have time to spare you’ll be really excited.

From this experience, there are many lessons to take away and reflecting on them is important in the learning process. The team atmosphere and having a mentor helps guide the team and promotes individual growth and development. This class helped build presentation skills, teamwork, organization, time management, and demonstrated what running a business was like. Overall, RBE is a great class in preparing students for the business world and for life in general because these lessons can apply to more than just business.
