We hope you can join us!<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><strong>Financial Wellness with Pete the Planner<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Wednesday, January 30th:<\/strong>\u00a0&#8220;One Hour to Change&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Local financial counselor Peter Dunn, a.k.a. \u201cPete the Planner,\u201d will present \u201cOne Hour to Change,\u201d a discussion on improving your financial life, on <span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><strong>Wednesday, Jan. 30,\u00a0at 3 p.m. in the Johnson Boardroom<\/strong><\/span>. He will discuss how to reduce spending, create a practical budget, save for the future, and address money within your relationships<strong>.\u00a0<\/strong><a title=\"Registration for Pete the Planner\" href=\"http:\/\/www.formstack.com\/forms\/?1371649-4OkDrhSqoH\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"broken_link\">Registration for this event is required.<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>February-March:<\/strong> \u00a0&#8220;60 Days to Change&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Pete the Planner will lead an<strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"> online- and email-based program<\/span><\/strong> that will lead participants through a series of financial goals. This program is meant to\u00a0help you control your personal finances and decrease your stress over money issues.\u00a0<a title=\"Registration for Pete the Planner\" href=\"http:\/\/www.formstack.com\/forms\/?1371649-4OkDrhSqoH\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"broken_link\">Registration for this event is required.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Prizes will be award to top participant in each of these\u00a0categories\u00a01) pays down the most debt, 2) saves the most money, and 3) eliminates the most expenses.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><strong>Discover Your Wellness Within<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Healthy Horizons will be sponsoring a four week wellness series entitled \u201cDiscover Your Wellness Within.\u201d\u00a0 Participants are encouraged to attend all four sessions during the month of February.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Session 1:\u00a0 Thursday, February 7<sup>th<\/sup> @ AU 302<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Managing Stress presented by Mindy Wallpe<\/p>\n<p>Want to gain a better understanding of how stress impacts your life and the importance of finding balance? Come learn about the dangers of stress, how to utilize your strengths, and the importance of finding time for self-care.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Session 2:\u00a0 Thursday, February 14th @ AU 302<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Healthy Moves at Your Desk: Get Fit While You Sit presented by Beth Lohman<\/p>\n<p>This session will give you practical moves you can do at your desk that help stretch and strengthen the heart and all muscles of the body. You will be given a practical guide to take with you.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Session 3:\u00a0 Thursday, February 21<sup>st <\/sup>@ Krannert Room in the basement of Clowes<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Discovering Basic Healthiness presented by Marguerite Stanciu<\/p>\n<p>Through the practice of meditation, we glimpse unconditional healthiness, opening to ourselves with gentleness and appreciation; we begin to see our potential as genuine and compassionate human beings.<\/p>\n<p>Please join us for instruction in the sitting practice of meditation, a way to develop mindfulness and awareness in everyday life.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Session 4:\u00a0 Thursday, February 28<sup>th<\/sup> @ AU 302<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Nutrition and Wellness presented by Healthy Horizons<\/p>\n<p>Discover the importance of proper nutrition for your overall wellness.<\/p>\n<p>All programs begin at noon and will be approximately 45 minutes. \u00a0\u00a0<strong>Space is limited, so please register through Healthy Horizons<\/strong>\u00a0at\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:healthyhorizons@butler.edu\">healthyhorizons@butler.edu<\/a>\u00a0or by phone at 940-8143.<\/p>\n<p>Participants that attend at least 3 out of the 4 sessions will be entered to win one of three prizes: \u00a0a one hour massage, a 5-session personal training package from the HRC, or a free 1-month HRC membership.<\/p>\n<!-- AddThis Advanced Settings generic via filter on the_content --><!-- AddThis Share Buttons generic via filter on the_content -->","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Healthy Horizons has several exciting programs planned for the upcoming weeks.
