It may be printed on the package or on a sticker.<\/li>\n<li>If the label says \u201cSalinas\u201d (whether alone or with the name of another location), don\u2019t eat it, and throw it away.<\/li>\n<li>If it isn\u2019t labeled with a growing region, don\u2019t eat it, and throw it away.<\/li>\n<li>If you don\u2019t know if the lettuce is romaine or whether a salad mix contains romaine, don\u2019t eat it, and throw it away.<\/li>\n<li>Wash and sanitize drawers or shelves in refrigerators where romaine lettuce was stored.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>If you are buying romaine lettuce at a store:\n<ul>\n<li>Look for a label showing where the romaine lettuce was grown.
