Gonna Rock Your Socks — Fall NO FEAR GEAR

We can’t avoid the fact that working out means sweat — sometimes serious sweat (for those of you who do not sweat as much, consider yourself lucky!).  For the beginning of the fall season, I am recommending a piece of equipment that is often overlooked.  Dri-fit  t-shirts and spandex are great, but what about our feet?  Socks with synthetic fibers keep our feet dry longer than cotton, helping us to be more comfortable and avoid annoying (and sometimes painful) blisters.  This is especially important as we transition into those colder months!  You might pay a little more in comparison to cotton socks (a 3-pair pack can cost between $9-20) but they last a long time and are well worth it!

So… which socks to buy?  Here are a few of my personal recommendations:

Dry feet are happy feet :)

Dry feet are happy feet 🙂

1. I have been using my Asics socks for what has seemed like forever.  Note: when washing them, I don’t put them in the dryer so as to not damage the material.  You can find them at your local running store (I got mine at Blue Mile) or on amazon.

2. Runner’s World also recommends a brand called Sof Sole.  Check here to see the socks and other gear if you’re a distance runner!

Happy feet, everyone!
