Moodle and Marketing Specialist <\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Projects to Consider:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

-Building your own Moodle Instructor Site<\/p>\n

-Attending the full time staff’s Moodle training sessions for faculty (if they fit your schedule)<\/p>\n

-Training new assistants with Moodle (consider developing a training script, considering how you might prepare\/practice, scheduling times to meet with new assistants, etc.)<\/p>\n

-“Outreach”: contacting faculty to learn what their needs are and how you can support them<\/p>\n

-Continue the Professional Development Project (posted on Moodle)<\/p>\n

Year Long Tasks:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

-Serve as a direct contact for questions & problems.<\/p>\n

-Continuously research, explore, and experiment within the area\/technology.<\/p>\n

-Develop advanced documentation and keep up-to-date.<\/p>\n

-Lead training sessions (as needed and as shift schedule allows).<\/p>\n

-Track errors, software updates, and changing needs.<\/p>\n

-Make recommendations on how to best meet the needs of Butler faculty, staff, & students.<\/p>\n

-Navigate to and log in to Butler\u2019s atomic learning with your usual Butler credentials.\u00a0 Search for \u201cMoodle.\u201d\u00a0 View ALL of the videos for Moodle 2.0 beneath the \u201cStudent Training\u201d section.<\/p>\n

-Complete viewing of the “Instructor Training” Moodle videos.<\/p>\n

-View & email me a copy of your AL certificates from Moodle training (How To) View & Save AL Certificates<\/a><\/p>\n

-Start iMovie training (instructions in training folder in Shared Folder!)<\/p>\n

-On our next shift together remind me to review libstats with you.<\/p>\n

-Complete the iPad Quick Training in the training folder!<\/p>\n

-Complete Dreamweaver Project and Quiz<\/p>\n

-View Digital Storytelling Part 1 PowerPoint and Video Links found within it<\/p>\n

-Complete the Excel Formula Practice Workbook\u00a0 (found on Moodle site)\u00a0 ***While working on this, please DO NOT save it in the Team or Shared Folder.\u00a0 Please save it in your own personal Student Worker Folder.***\u00a0 Once complete, upload it to Moodle via the \u201cAssignment\u201d post.<\/p>\n

-Find 7 Halloween technology articles, videos, etc.\u00a0 Please make sure they are appropriate for IC to post.\u00a0 Feel free to ponder some unique twitter Hashtags (in addition to #Halloween) that we could add to them.\u00a0 Anything technology related and relatively recent would be great.\u00a0 Type these up (with links) in a word doc and send them to Meg via email, please!<\/p>\n

-Complete the Classroom Mediation Training (Found here in Shared folder:\u00a0 \\\\bufiles\\Group\\IT\\InstructionalTechnology\\Student Workers\\Student Folders\\_Shared\\Training\\Classroom Mediation)\u00a0 You\u2019ll want to look at Overview of Classroom Mediation, Copy Cam, Doc Cam, \u00a0Touch Panel, and browse the different Smart Board pdfs.\u00a0 Don\u2019t feel like you need to comb through all of the Smart Board documentation\u2014just enough so you\u2019d know how to use it, write on it, save what you write, etc.\u00a0 Feel free to go over to JH048 and practice using the equipment while going through the guides.\u00a0 If you\u00a0 have any questions, let Meg know and we\u2019ll cover it on a shared shift!<\/p>\n

-Complete the WordPress training, project, and quiz posted to Moodle.\u00a0 If you have any questions, feel free to ask anyone you\u2019re on shift with (most returning students and associates are pretty familiar with WordPress since we use it in IC frequently) or email me directly!<\/p>\n

Today I learned how to reset the iPads and restore them to their original settings. I also ran an errand for Chasadee over to the Holcomb building. Around 3:45 I set up a Panopto recording for a GHS class, and then took it down. Also, worked on this Dreamweaver project that I keep on fighting with (not literally, but the computer and I had some disagreements). To whomever is going to be my supervisor for next semester, if you could change it so that my Dreamweaver project will continue into next semester would be awesome because I will not be able to finish it in the next 20 minutes. Last but not least, I got the IC reading book. Woohoo! Have a wonderful summer everyone!<\/p>\n <\/div>\r\n\r\n
