{"id":71,"date":"2015-11-10T14:14:24","date_gmt":"2015-11-10T19:14:24","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.butler.edu\/lightboard\/?p=71"},"modified":"2015-11-10T14:26:05","modified_gmt":"2015-11-10T19:26:05","slug":"lightboard-at-butler","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/blogs.butler.edu\/lightboard\/2015\/11\/10\/lightboard-at-butler\/","title":{"rendered":"Blog"},"content":{"rendered":"<h4>INNOVATION and ENGAGEMENT motivate a team of BU faculty and staff in developing our own Lightboard Studio.<\/h4>\n<p>Utilizing the funds awarded from the <a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.butler.edu\/lightboard\/\">Innovation Grant<\/a>, the Lightboard Studio will be built in Irwin Library and will<br \/>\nbe piloted during the spring of 2016.<\/p>\n<p>This innovative technology offers a way to create videos that compliment online or hybrid learning models as well as<br \/>\nthe \u201cflipped\u201d classroom model.\u00a0It consists of a glass surface that works like a white board that is positioned between<br \/>\nthe instructor and the camera.<\/p>\n<p>This set up allows the instructor to face the camera while also writing on the transparent surface. Instructors can then<br \/>\nillustrate complex concepts, formulas, diagrams or processes. It\u2019s also possible to integrate a PowerPoint on the<br \/>\nLightboard for annotation.
