Note: <\/strong>To follow the steps below, you need to be in the registration process. To look up classes before registration, see How can I search for classes before registration?<\/a><\/p>\n

Navigate to your shopping cart<\/em> from the Student Center<\/strong>. Then, from the Add Classes<\/strong> page, you can search for additional classes in one of four ways.<\/p>\n

Class Number<\/h4>\n
    \n
  1. If you know the four-digit class number for the class you want, enter it in the Enter Class Nbr <\/em>text box and click the \"Enter<\/a>button.<\/li>\n
  2. Confirm that the class you want is the class identified on the screen, then click the button.<\/li>\n
  3. You are returned to the shopping cart, and the desired class appears in your shopping cart.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Class Search<\/h4>\n
      \n
    1. Select the radio button next to Class Search<\/em> and click the \"Search<\/a>button.<\/li>\n
    2. Follow these suggestions for class searches<\/a> to locate the desired class.<\/li>\n
    3. Click the \"Select<\/a>button to the right of the desired section.<\/li>\n
    4. Confirm that the class and section information displayed is what you want, then click the \"Next button.<\/li>\n
    5. You are returned to the shopping cart, and the selected class is displayed in the shopping cart list.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      Example 1:<\/strong> enter the two-character course subject code (like CH for chemistry) and the catalog number (like 105) and click Search. You’ll see a list of all open sections of CH 105.<\/p>\n

      Example 2:<\/strong> enter course subject of ID (for Change & Tradition) and a course number of “2,” change Is Exactly <\/strong>to Contains<\/strong>, click Search<\/em>, and you will see a list of all open ID classes with the number 2 in the catalog number.<\/p>\n

      Example 3:<\/strong> enter ‘Geib’ in the Instructor’s Last Name<\/strong> field, click Search and you will see a list of all open classes taught by Prof. George Geib for the term.<\/p>\n

      Tip:<\/strong> If you are unsure how to spell the instructor’s last name, enter the first few letters and change Is Exactly <\/strong>to Contains<\/strong> to broaden your search.<\/p>\n

      My Requirements<\/h4>\n
        \n
      1. Select the radio button next to My Requirements<\/em> and click the \"Searchbutton.<\/li>\n
      2. On the Search by My Requirements<\/strong> page, use the \"Show<\/a>\u00a0 button to expand the desired requirement section to see if relevant classes will be offered during the upcoming semester.<\/li>\n
      3. To see available sections, click on the class title link for the desired class.<\/li>\n
      4. Click the \"Select<\/a>\u00a0button next to the section you want to add to your shopping cart.<\/li>\n
      5. Confirm that the class and section information displayed is what you want, then click the \"Next\u00a0button.<\/li>\n
      6. You are returned to the shopping cart, and the selected class is displayed in the shopping cart list.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

        My Planner<\/h4>\n

        Note<\/strong>: To use My Planner<\/em>, you must first add some classes to your planner<\/a>.<\/p>\n

          \n
        1. Select the radio button next to My Planner<\/em> and click the \"Search\u00a0<\/strong>button.<\/li>\n
        2. Click the \"Select\u00a0button to the right of the class you want to add.<\/li>\n
        3. Click the \"Select\u00a0button to the right of the section you want.<\/li>\n
        4. Confirm that the class displayed is the one you want, then click the \"Next\u00a0button.<\/li>\n
        5. You are returned to the shopping cart, and the selected class is displayed in the shopping cart list.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
