There are several reasons why an enrollment might have an error. Here are the most common problems and how to deal with them.<\/p>\n<p>If the message reads:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>You have a hold on your record. <\/strong>This indicates you have a hold on your record preventing registration. See <a title=\"How do I know if I have a hold on my account?\" href=\"http:\/\/blogs.butler.edu\/mybutlerhelp\/?question=how-do-i-know-if-i-have-a-hold-on-my-account\">How do I know if I have a hold on my record?<\/a> to see how to view your holds information.<\/li>\n<li><strong>You cannot add this class due to a time conflict&#8230; <\/strong>Your desired enrollment class conflicts with a class you are already enrolled in.\u00a0 Click <em>Fix Errors <\/em>to\u00a0go back and choose a different class or drop the exisiting enrolled class. (see <a title=\"How do I drop a class?\" href=\"http:\/\/blogs.butler.edu\/mybutlerhelp\/?question=how-do-i-drop-a-class\">How do I drop a class?<\/a>)<\/li>\n<li><strong>Class XXXX is full. <\/strong>The class you are trying to register for is full. Click <em>Fix Errors<\/em> to\u00a0go back and choose a different class; or, get a\u00a0permission number \u00a0to get in the class.\u00a0See\u00a0<a title=\"What is a class permission number, how do I get one, and how do I use it?\" href=\"http:\/\/blogs.butler.edu\/mybutlerhelp\/?question=what-is-a-class-permission-number-how-do-i-get-one-and-how-do-i-use-it\">What is a Class Permission Number, how do I get one, and how do I use it?<\/a>\u00a0for more info on class permission numbers.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Unable to add this class &#8211; requisites have not been met.<\/strong> You have not met the enrollment requirements for the class. This could be a problem with either the pre-requisites or co-requisites for the class you&#8217;re trying to enroll in. Check <em>Course Search<\/em> to look up the class, and click on the section title link to see the full description of<br \/>\nthe course and its requisites.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If you think you have met the course pre-requisites, check all classes to be sure you were able to get the requested section; you must request all co-requisite classes in the same enrollment request. Click <em>Fix Errors<\/em> to\u00a0go back and choose a different class; or, get a permission number to get in the class. Add transaction not processed. The maximum term unit load would be exceeded. <\/strong>This means that the class will put you over the maximum amount of hours you&#8217;re allowed to enroll yourself in for the semester. To enroll in more hours, contact your advisor or the dean&#8217;s office (for your major) for permission to enroll in more hours. The maximum credit hour load for undergraduates varies between 18 and 20 hours.
