When enrolling a student in a class\u2014and that class is full\u2014you can opt to put the student on the waitlist.<\/p>\n

Tip:<\/strong> It’s a good idea to check with the academic department that holds the class to make sure they want the waitlist used.<\/p>\n

To put a student on a class waitlist (if already enrolling the student – go to step 3):<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Login<\/a> and click \"arrow\"<\/a>\u00a0BU Campus Solutions \"arrow\"<\/a>\u00a0BU Advisor Access \"arrow\"<\/a>\u00a0Use <\/strong>>>> Enrollment Request<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
  2. Enter the student’s 9-digit ID -OR- click the \"magnifying<\/a>\u00a0button to search by name. Make sure the Academic Career, Academic Institution (BUTLR), and Term are correct and click the Add<\/strong> button.<\/li>\n
  3. Enter the 4-digit Class Nbr<\/strong> in the Class Nbr<\/strong> field and press the Tab key \u2014OR\u2014\u00a0Click the lookup button \"magnifying<\/a>\u00a0to search for a class. (see How do I search for a class?<\/a><\/em>)Important:<\/strong> To enter a lab, if needed, click the lookup button \"magnifying<\/a>\u00a0for the Related Class 1<\/strong> field and choose a lab. If nothing is listed, you do not need to enter a lab for this class.<\/li>\n
  4. Click on the Class Overrides<\/strong>tab, then check the box under the “Wait List Okay” column for the desired row.\"Wait<\/a><\/li>\n
  5. Click the Submit button \"submit<\/a>\u00a0and check the Status<\/strong> on the Class Enrollment\u00a0<\/strong>tab.If Status = Success<\/strong> – continue to step 6.\n

    If Status = Errors<\/strong> – you have an error. Click the Errors<\/em> link and take the appropriate steps. (i.e. Change the class number and post again; put in the lab that you forgot; delete the empty row; etc.)<\/li>\n

  6. To add more classes, click the ‘Add Row’ button \"plus<\/a>\u00a0and go back to step 3 above to add another class.
    \nContinue steps 3 – 5 until you finish registering the student.<\/p>\n

    Tip:<\/strong> When you are finished, click the Study List\u00a0<\/strong>link in the lower left corner to print the student’s schedule.Tip:<\/strong> If you get this message:<\/p>\n

    \"Error<\/a><\/p>\n

    It means you’ve clicked the \"plus<\/a>\u00a0button at least one too many times and you have an empty Class Nbr<\/em> field – you need to get rid of any empty row(s) before posting.<\/p>\n
