{"id":834,"date":"2014-08-26T16:14:31","date_gmt":"2014-08-26T20:14:31","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.butler.edu\/mybutlerhelp\/?post_type=question&#038;p=834"},"modified":"2014-08-26T16:14:31","modified_gmt":"2014-08-26T20:14:31","slug":"how-do-i-add-a-class-after-the-fifth-day-of-classes","status":"publish","type":"question","link":"http:\/\/blogs.butler.edu\/mybutlerhelp\/question\/how-do-i-add-a-class-after-the-fifth-day-of-classes\/","title":{"rendered":"How do I add a class after the fifth day of classes?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>After the fifth day of classes, students need approval from the class instructor, their primary advisor, and their college dean to add a class.\u00a0Students can now request these approvals through the self-service functions in <em>My.Butler. <\/em>By following the steps listed below, your\u00a0request will be electronically routed to the appropriate individuals\u00a0for approval.<\/p>\n<p>You will receive \u201cstatus update\u201d emails as the request moves through the approval process and you will receive a final email when the request is either approved or denied.\u00a0You will NOT be enrolled in the class until final approval is received from the college dean.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.butler.edu\/mybutlerhelp\/question\/what-is-my-butler\/\">Login<\/a> and click <strong>Self Service<\/strong> &gt; <strong>Student Center<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Click on the <em>Enrollment Shopping Cart <\/em>link.<\/li>\n<li>Select the class you would like to enroll in by using one of the options under <em>Add to Cart<\/em>.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-835\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.butler.edu\/mybutlerhelp\/files\/2014\/08\/add_to_cart.gif\" alt=\"Add to Cart options\" width=\"149\" height=\"197\" \/><br \/>\n<strong>Note:<\/strong> You can add classes by directly entering the class number, by searching, by selecting from your degree requirements, or by adding them from your planner. See <a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.butler.edu\/mybutlerhelp\/question\/how-do-i-add-classes-to-my-shopping-cart\/\">How do I add classes to my shopping cart?<\/a> for more information.<\/li>\n<li>Select your desired class by clicking the <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-263\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.butler.edu\/mybutlerhelp\/files\/2012\/09\/select_class.gif\" alt=\"Select Class\" width=\"81\" height=\"24\" \/>\u00a0button. This will return you to the <strong>Shopping Cart<\/strong> page, and your selected class will appear in your <strong>Enrollment Shopping Cart<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Check mark the class you want to enroll in and then click on the <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-133\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.butler.edu\/mybutlerhelp\/files\/2012\/09\/enroll.gif\" alt=\"enroll\" width=\"48\" height=\"21\" \/>\u00a0button.<\/li>\n<li>The <strong>Co<\/strong><strong>nfirm Classes<\/strong> screen appears.
