After the tenth day of classes, students need approval to withdraw from a class.\u00a0Students can now request this through the self-service functions in My.Butler. <\/em>By following the steps listed below, your\u00a0request will be electronically routed to the appropriate individual(s)\u00a0for approval.\u00a0 Enrollment holds of any kind (i.e. accept financial responsibility, advising, verify local address, Student Accounts) must be removed before a student is allowed to withdraw from a class.<\/p>\n

You will receive \u201cstatus update\u201d emails as the request moves through the approval process and you will receive a final email when the request is either approved or denied.\u00a0You will NOT be withdrawn from the class until all necessary approvals are received.<\/p>\n

  1. Login<\/a> and click Self Service<\/strong> > Student Center<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
  2. Choose Enrollment: Drop<\/em> from the other academics <\/em>dropdown menu, then click the \"go\u00a0button.<\/li>\n
  3. Select the current term<\/a>, then click \"continue.<\/li>\n
  4. Check mark the class you would like to withdraw from, then click the \"drop\u00a0button.<\/li>\n
  5. The Confirm your selection <\/strong>screen appears. Verify that you have chosen the correct class to withdraw from, then click the \"finish\u00a0button.<\/li>\n
  6. You will receive a message reminding you that withdrawing from a class could have unintended consequences, especially if enrollment for the term goes below 12 credit hours for undergraduate students or 6 credit hours for graduate students.\u00a0 Please seek guidance regarding how this action will affect the following:<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Financial aid and scholarship awards
    \nFull-time student status
    \nProbationary status
    \nDean’s List eligibility
    \nHousing eligibility
    \nNCAA eligibility
    \nProgress toward completion of degree requirements (e.g. prerequisites and appropriate sequencing of classes)<\/p>\n

    1. Click \"OK.<\/li>\n
    2. Check the \u201cRequest Approval\u201d checkbox associated with the class.<\/li>\n
    3.
