\"Information\"The Quiz activity allows you to create quizzes that students take online. You can make use of a wide variety of question types, including multiple choice, true-false, and short answer. These questions are kept in the Question bank and can be re-used in different quizzes.<\/em><\/p>\n

  1. From your course\u2019s main page, click the\u00a0\"Turn\u00a0button in the upper-right.<\/li>\n
  2. With editing turned on, click\u00a0\"Add\u00a0in the section where you want to add the assignment.<\/li>\n
  3. From the menu that appears, click the\u00a0\"Radio\u00a0next to\u00a0\"Quiz\"\u00a0and\u00a0click the\u00a0\"Add\"\u00a0button at the bottom of the menu.<\/li>\n
  4. Provide a\u00a0\"Name\"<\/a>\u00a0for the quiz. You can also provide a\u00a0\"Description\"<\/a>\u00a0for the quiz.\u00a0The name is how the quiz will be displayed on the course page, in the gradebook, etc. The description is what the students will see before they attempt a quiz, and is useful for providing prompts or instructions.<\/li>\n
  5. Open the\u00a0\"Timing\"\u00a0menu to set time limits on the quiz. You can specify when to\u00a0\"Open, when to\u00a0\"Close, and whether the quiz has a\u00a0\"Time.\u00a0Ensure that the\u00a0\"Enable\"\u00a0checkbox is checked for any option you want to use.<\/li>\n
  6. Click the\u00a0\"Grade\"\u00a0section to expand it. Specify which\u00a0\"Grade\u00a0the quiz will go in (if any). You can also set the number of\u00a0\"Attempts\u00a0and the\u00a0\"Grading\u00a0for those multiple attempts (e.g. take the highest grade, take the most recent grade, take the average grade, etc.).<\/li>\n
  7. Click\u00a0\"Save\u00a0when done.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
