If you are not familiar with Panopto for Mac, check out our\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/support.panopto.com\/articles\/Documentation\/mac-basic-recording-2\" target=\"_blank\">Panopto for Mac Basic Recording<\/a>\u00a0documentation first!<\/em><\/p>\n<h2 class=\"hTargetInstance0\">How to Live Webcast<\/h2>\n<p>From Panopto for Mac, be sure to select an online folder, then check &#8220;Webcast&#8221;.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/support.panopto.com\/servlet\/rtaImage?eid=ka0390000000gDC&amp;feoid=00N70000003KziC&amp;refid=0EM390000000bI5\" alt=\"User-added image\" width=\"500\" height=\"76\" \/><\/p>\n<h2 class=\"hTargetInstance1\">Record and Stop<\/h2>\n<p>To start the broadcast simply click the RECORD button. To end the live broadcast, simply click the\u00a0\u00a0STOP button. Your recording will then complete and upload to the server.<\/p>\n<div><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/support.panopto.com\/servlet\/rtaImage?eid=ka0390000000gDC&amp;feoid=00N70000003KziC&amp;refid=0EM390000000Z39\" alt=\"User-added image\" \/>\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/support.panopto.com\/servlet\/rtaImage?eid=ka0390000000gDC&amp;feoid=00N70000003KziC&amp;refid=0EM390000000Z3D\" alt=\"User-added image\" \/><\/div>\n<h2 class=\"hTargetInstance2\">Viewing<\/h2>\n<p>A viewer URL is generated after your webcast starts. This URL can\u00a0shared\u00a0through the web user interface by clicking &#8220;Share&#8221;. Clicking &#8220;Copy&#8221; will copy the URL to your clipboard.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/support.panopto.com\/servlet\/rtaImage?eid=ka0390000000gDC&amp;feoid=00N70000003KziC&amp;refid=0EM390000000bIA\" alt=\"User-added image\" width=\"500\" height=\"95\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Users may login to the Panopto website to view any live broadcasts that may be available at that time.<\/p>\n<p>To do this, simply go to your Panopto server&#8217;s website, and click the live session that you would like to watch.\u00a0 If access to the content is restricted to certain viewers, they will have to\u00a0login\u00a0with their credentials.<\/p>\n<p>You can determine which sessions are broadcasting live because the icon will look like the following:<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/support.panopto.com\/servlet\/rtaImage?eid=ka0390000000gDC&amp;feoid=00N70000003KziC&amp;refid=0EM390000000Z3N\" alt=\"User-added image\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The viewer can click on the session and a viewer window will open just as it would if the lecture had been previously recorded.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"hTargetInstance3\">Pause, rewind and go live feature<\/h2>\n<h2 class=\"hTargetInstance4\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/support.panopto.com\/servlet\/rtaImage?eid=ka0390000000gDC&amp;feoid=00N70000003KziC&amp;refid=0EM390000000Z3S\" alt=\"User-added image\" width=\"500\" height=\"22\" \/><\/h2>\n<p>Buttons for pausing and rewinding are pictured above on the left. You can easily seek through a live broadcast to any time by dragging the slider circled above, even if you join late. To catch up and watch the broadcast live, just click the &#8220;LIVE&#8221; button as seen above.\u00a0You may also continue to watch the live broadcast even after it has ended.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"hTargetInstance5\">Questions, Comments, and Notes<\/h2>\n<p>During the live broadcast, viewers who are logged in and viewing the live broadcast can ask questions and make comments via the viewer window. The questions and comments have been merged into a &#8220;Discussion&#8221; section in the viewer.\u00a0Furthermore, viewers can also take public or private notes during the broadcast to refer back to at a later time.
