Instead of adding up point totals (as the Natural aggregation method does). Weighted Mean of Grades will calculate a course total by proportions of weights assigned to individual items. \u00a0To calculate grades this way, you must fill out weights for items and categories:<\/em><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>In the Administration block, click\u00a0<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.butler.edu\/quickguides\/files\/2013\/12\/2014-01-13-13_47_54-Course_-Video-Tutorial-Example-Course.png\" alt=\"Grades\" width=\"63\" height=\"16\" \/>\u00a0to go to the gradebook.<\/li>\n<li>From the gradebook, click the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.butler.edu\/quickguides\/files\/2015\/07\/Setup-tab1.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1513\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.butler.edu\/quickguides\/files\/2015\/07\/Setup-tab1.png\" alt=\"Setup tab\" width=\"51\" height=\"27\" \/><\/a>\u00a0tab near the top.<\/li>\n<li>You will see a\u00a0<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-234\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.butler.edu\/quickguides\/files\/2013\/12\/2014-01-17-10_21_35-Grades_-Categories-and-items.png\" alt=\"Weight\" width=\"57\" height=\"16\" \/>\u00a0column in the list of grades.<\/li>\n<li>For each graded item (manually entered and activities) Under the\u00a0<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-234\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.butler.edu\/quickguides\/files\/2013\/12\/2014-01-17-10_21_35-Grades_-Categories-and-items.png\" alt=\"Weight\" width=\"57\" height=\"16\" \/>\u00a0column, there will be text boxes next to each grade item and grade category.
