Turnitin will compare student submissions to website contents, scholarly articles, and papers submitted by other students to check for plagiarism. The Originality report will tell you how much of a student&#8217;s paper is similar to other content.<\/em><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>From your course page, click on the Turnitin assignment (<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"2014-02-28 08_46_26-Course_ Matt Wright\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.butler.edu\/quickguides\/files\/2013\/12\/2014-02-28-08_46_26-Course_-Matt-Wright.png\" width=\"24\" height=\"24\" \/>) to go to its summary page (if you are not there already).<\/li>\n<li>Click on the\u00a0<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-416\" alt=\"Submission Inbox\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.butler.edu\/quickguides\/files\/2013\/12\/2014-02-28-09_40_25-Example-Turnitin-Assignment.png\" width=\"134\" height=\"25\" \/>\u00a0tab to see all of the student submissions.<\/li>\n<li>You will see a listing of all of the students in the course and their submissions (if they&#8217;ve submitted anything yet). The\u00a0<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-417\" alt=\"Similarity\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.butler.edu\/quickguides\/files\/2013\/12\/2014-02-28-10_00_36-Example-Turnitin-Assignment.png\" width=\"62\" height=\"13\" \/>\u00a0column contains similarity scores (e.g.\u00a0<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-418\" alt=\"10%\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.butler.edu\/quickguides\/files\/2013\/12\/2014-02-28-10_02_19-Example-Turnitin-Assignment.png\" width=\"48\" height=\"15\" \/>). The higher the percentage, the more similar the paper is to other documents. Click the percentage to see the report.<br \/>\nNote: Originality reports take time to generate.
