\"Information\"In addition to giving you a report on the originality of student papers, Turnitin also features a powerful grading and commenting tool. As well as allowing you to give numerical feedback on a student submission, you can also directly enter your comments into specific parts of the paper.<\/em><\/p>\n

  1. From your course page, click on the Turnitin assignment (\"2014-02-28) to go to its summary page (if you are not there already).<\/li>\n
  2. Click on the\u00a0\"Submission\u00a0tab to see all of the student submissions.<\/li>\n
  3. You will see a listing of all of the students in the course and their submissions (if they\u2019ve submitted anything yet). Click the\u00a0\"Pencil\"\u00a0icon in the\u00a0\"Grade\"\u00a0column for the submission you want to grade.<\/li>\n
  4. The student\u2019s paper will appear in a new window. You can click or highlight anywhere in this paper to add a comment. Click anywhere on the paper or on text you’ve highlighted so that the\u00a0\"Word\u00a0box appears, enter your comment, and click\u00a0\"Save\".<\/li>\n
  5. You can use QuickMarks to insert canned comments quickly. There are some stock Turnitin marks you can use (\"Citation,\u00a0\"Run-on\", etc.) by clicking and dragging them from the panel on the right. If you want to create your own, click on the paper to create a new comment and click\u00a0\"Save. Enter a \"TITLE\"\u00a0and choose a \"SET\"\u00a0and click \"Save\"\u00a0so that you can use it again in the future.<\/li>\n
  6. Click the grade field in the far upper right (next to the similarity percentage) and replace the\u00a0\"--\"\u00a0with the grade you want to give the paper. Press Enter to save.<\/li>\n
  7. Close the window when done, or click the\u00a0\"Left\u00a0or\u00a0\"Right\u00a0buttons in the upper-right to quickly go to other submissions.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
