\"Information\"Instead of giving a direct numerical grade on a Turnitin assignment, you can also create a rubric and assign points to different criteria to provide a reusable scorecard.<\/p>\n

  1. From your course page, click on the Turnitin assignment (\"2014-02-28) to go to its summary page (if you are not there already).<\/li>\n
  2. Click on the\u00a0\"Submission\u00a0tab to see all of the student submissions.<\/li>\n
  3. You will see a listing of all of the students in the course and their submissions (if they\u2019ve submitted anything yet). Click the\u00a0\"Pencil\"\u00a0icon in the\u00a0\"Grade\"\u00a0column for the submission you want to grade.<\/li>\n
  4. The student\u2019s paper will appear in a new window. Click the\u00a0\"Rubric\"\u00a0icon in the lower-right.<\/li>\n
  5. In the\u00a0\"Rubric\"\u00a0menu on the right, click the\u00a0\"Wrench\"\u00a0icon.<\/li>\n
  6. In the pop-up that appears, click the\u00a0\"List\"<\/a>\u00a0button in the upper left and select\u00a0\"Create.<\/li>\n
  7. Enter the Rubric name at the top of the rubric manager.<\/li>\n
  8. Click any\u00a0\"Criterion\"\u00a0to rename it, click the percentage next to it to set its weight, and click the space below it to provide a description.\u00a0If you need more Criteria,\u00a0you can click the\u00a0\"Plus\"\u00a0icon to the right of the\u00a0\"CRITERIA\"\u00a0header to add extra rows.<\/li>\n
  9. Similarly, you can click any\u00a0\"Scale\"\u00a0to rename it and click the number next to it to specify a value.\u00a0If you need more Criteria,\u00a0you can click the\u00a0\"Plus\"\u00a0icon to the right of the\u00a0\"SCALES\"\u00a0header to add extra columns.<\/li>\n
  10. Click in any cell to specify a description for that level of the scale for that criterion.<\/li>\n
  11. Click the\u00a0\"SAVE\"\u00a0button in the lower right to save the rubric, then click the\u00a0\"Link\"\u00a0button in the upper-right to attach the rubric to the assignment. Click the\u00a0\"CLOSE\"\u00a0button in the lower right when done.<\/li>\n
  12. In the\u00a0\"Rubric\"\u00a0menu on the right, click any of the scale levels to set them for that criteria. When you have them selected, click\u00a0\"Apply\u00a0to grade the paper.<\/li>\n
  13. Close the window when done, or click the\u00a0\"Left\u00a0or\u00a0\"Right\u00a0buttons in the upper-right to quickly go to other submissions.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
