ED 227 Introduction to Middle/Secondary Students and Schools

ED 227 Introduction to Middle/Secondary Students and Schools was the first course I took at Butler that was strictly about learning about the special needs of Young Adolescents, and how to address those needs in a classroom.

During the course I had to create/come up with my image of a learner. I eventually came up with a puzzle piece. Each class is it’s own individual puzzle with each student contributing their own piece to make the picture. Below is the actually image I used to construct my Image of a Learner rationale, and the rationale I created.

Butler believes in self evaulation as a tool for self growth. Towards the end of my journey through ED 227 I created a Semester Summary where I put the lessons I have learned about adolescent learner, and what lessons I took away to make myself a better teacher.
