Operation-Hinkle
Our project is Operation Hinkle. Our junior classes at Butler High School will be working on redesigning renovations for Hinkle Fieldhouse. Operation Hinkle will be using skills from Math, English, Science, History, and Health. The students would also learn social skills because they are taking their Hinkle Renovation Designs to the School Board.
In their quest for redesigning Hinkle, they will find the dimensions; create a scale model of both the current Hinkle, and their own renovated design of Hinkle. They will write letters to the Butler High School Administration and the Butler School Board explaining why they need to update Hinkle. They will test the durability and stability of their scale models by putting them through demonstrations that will test how updating Hinkle will help the structure. Finally the students will present their designs to the School Board.
