<\/a>Saturn's Greek symbol that Oliver, Mekhi, and Geneva worked on!<\/p><\/div>\n
Monday and Tuesday we began exploring the Greek symbols for each planet.\u00a0 With the research that was happening with each group, a friend found the Greek symbol for their planet in a book.\u00a0 That began a wonderful discussion of the Greek symbols and why they look the way they do.\u00a0 The children each got their planet’s Greek sumbol and then they made out of their choice of materials.\u00a0 We took photographs of them and then put them up in our room so we could reference our new knowledge.<\/p>\n
Today we had a beautiful walk to and from The Children’s Museum.\u00a0 On the way there and back we noticed the houses, the Moon that was out, and really enjoyed getting that fresh air.\u00a0 While at the Museum, the children were so excited to see the show about “The Secrets of the Cardboard Rocket!”\u00a0 Madeline P. said, “I feel lucky because I know a story about stars!”\u00a0 Jamari noticed that when the show began it seemed like we were moving.\u00a0\u00a0 He said, “It is moving!\u00a0 We are moving!”\u00a0 As we were learning about all of the planets, Emily said, “Earth is small!\u00a0 It doesn’t feel it when you are on it!”We learned new things about each planet which we will take with us for a long time!<\/p>\n
