What makes it satirical? Note the characteristics &amp; techniques of satire at play here, and use textual evidence to back up your claims.<\/p>\n<p>Select your favorite definition, one that you think is sharp, important, and clearly fits your definition of satire. Answer the following questions for your selected definition:<\/p>\n<p>-What does it say? \u00a0Paraphrase\/explain in own words.<br \/>\n-What does it mean?\u2014or\u2014describe the phenomenon he\u2019s ridiculing. \u00a0What about it is he ridiculing?<br \/>\n-Is comedy culturally meaningful and valuable? In what ways?\u00a0 Use your selected definition as evidence to support your answer.<\/p>\n<p>Devils&#8217; Dictionary 2011: Take a shot at crafting your own devilish definition.
