{"id":625,"date":"2014-08-19T10:17:23","date_gmt":"2014-08-19T14:17:23","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.butler.edu\/sga\/?page_id=625"},"modified":"2014-09-17T22:51:39","modified_gmt":"2014-09-18T02:51:39","slug":"on-going-projects","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"http:\/\/blogs.butler.edu\/sga\/boards\/council-on-presidential-affairs-cpa\/on-going-projects\/","title":{"rendered":"On-going Projects"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Academic Affairs<\/strong>: <em>Works closely with President James Danko, Provost Kate Morris, as well as the deans from each of the colleges to address and resolve ideas concerning students\u2019 academic needs on campus.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Current Projects:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Loan Counseling Service for Students<\/li>\n<li>Improving Pre-Professional Programs<\/li>\n<li>Implementation of &#8220;Real World&#8221; Experience Class<\/li>\n<li>Exploring Idea of Adding a Nursing Program<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Green Operations<\/strong>: <em>Develops and carries out strategies on campus that relate to promoting a sustainable and environmentally friendly university.<br \/>\n<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Current Projects:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Adding Recyclable Cups to Campus Dining Halls<\/li>\n<li>Improving Access to Pharmacy Building Green Roof<\/li>\n<li>Centralization of Recycling Bins on Campus for maximum usage<\/li>\n<li>Exploring Idea of Increasing the Number of Environmentally Conscious Hand-Dryers in restrooms<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Student Life<\/strong>:\u00a0<em>Works with Dean of Student Life Anne Flaherty, and other Student Affairs administrators on issues that directly affect the student experience on campus, including residence life and programming.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Current Projects:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Working to better connect Greek Chapters to the National Panhellenic Council<\/li>\n<li>Analyzing campus climate in regard to Independent and Greek Interactions<\/li>\n<li>Development of a more synthesized Student Organization Directory<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Student Services<\/strong>:\u00a0<em>Works with Dean of Student Services, Sally Click, on projects that relate to dining services, health, recreation and wellness as well as Information Technology.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Current Projects:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Updating Butler Mobile Application<\/li>\n<li>Increasing the amount of healthy dessert options in dining halls<\/li>\n<li>Providing informative technology tutorials for students<\/li>\n<li>Increasing the number of vending machines that offer healthy snack options<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Operations<\/strong>: <em>Works to address student concerns and ideas as they relate to the operations of Butler University, including student safety initiatives and facility management.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Current Projects:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Finalizing C-Club Rennovation designs<\/li>\n<li>Improving RAD (Rape Aggression Defense) Offerings<\/li>\n<li>&#8220;Positive Masculinity&#8221; Campaign<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Have a question about an on-going project, or want to provide feedback?
