Two skills that are useful for an incoming student would be an open mind and a self discipline. You need an open mind to meet new, fun people and join clubs and organizations. Self discipline is huge though because you need this to stay organized and on top of your things.
If you could give one piece of advice to an incoming student, what would it be?
My one piece of advice to an incoming student would be make some memories because the time flies, but remember why you’re here. Get the things you need to get done, done so you can do the things you want to do.
What can an incoming student expect as they look ahead to their first year at Butler?
Incoming students can expect one of the best years of their lives as they look ahead to their first year at Butler! It’s so exciting and different and new and fun. You meet some of your best friends, you tackle some things that make you realize you can live somewhat on your own, and you understand that where you’re meant to be is this place where you are. It’s a big year. You’ll never want it to end.
