Julie Robinson

Julie RobinsonWhat was your best memory of your freshman year?

My best memory of my freshman year is Spring Break.  I went on a service trip to Jamaica through the Intercollegiate YMCA.  During the trip I worked at an orphanage.  I met amazing kids and amazing Butler students.  Through this trip, I was able to see a world outside of the Butler bubble and make friendships that would last my entire college career.

If you could give one piece of advice to an incoming student, what would it be?

You will meet people who are totally different than anyone you hung out with in high school.  Give them a chance.  They may turn out to be your best friend for all of college or make a really interesting story to tell people about.

What is one memory from your own orientation/welcome week experience?

One memory I have is all the SOGs being so happy to meet the incoming freshman.  They were all so ecstatic to be back at their school that they got me so excited that I get to experience this amazing school with them.
