Nearly 60 Broad Ripple Magnet School students showed up for the Ripple Effect Launch Party on our last day of the Butler Writers program for the semester. It capped a fantastic first year on-site with the Rockets, one in which our mentors served 200 unique students. Our young writers beamed as we distributed the first volume of Ripple Effect, a 73-page literary magazine housing the creative efforts of 53 different students. We owe a magnificent debt of gratitude to the entire staff of Broad Ripple for making us feel so utterly at home (with a special shout-out to Assistant Principal Meghan Brothers and jack-of-all-trades Lou DeBruicker).<\/p>\n
