She will be honored during a special ceremony at Martindale Church of Christ on Saturday, April 14, and will also be recognized during the Etheridge Knight Festival Evening With The Legends at the Indiana Landmark Center on Thursday, April 19. Those Girls<\/strong><\/p>\n

We are the ones
\nthat lie
\nin your beds, or to your faces.<\/p>\n

We just want to fill
\nyour spaces,<\/p>\n

okay ours,
\nmaybe
\nboth?<\/p>\n

We never meant to hurt you.
\nbut heartbreak?<\/p>\n

is inevitable,
\nand when
\nif ever tears fall,<\/p>\n

we are not the ones
\nto call, that is,
\nwe are the heart
\nripping love stealing<\/p>\n

smile and sleep with your boyfriend,

\nthe dark that was left

someone made us
