\"\"<\/a>Butler Classics is offering two study abroad programs this Summer 2019 for students interested in traveling abroad while also learning about the ancient world! Check out our programs below and follow the link to start your application. Don’t waste any time, applications are due February 15th, 2019 for both trips!<\/p>\n

Roman Perspectives Among the Ruins:<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>This two-week course will be taking you to Rome and the Bay of Naples as you navigate the twisting passageways of the Colosseum, trod in the steps of triumphant pagan generals and early Christian martyrs, and explore the cities of Pompeii and Herculaneum, buried in the famed eruption of Mount Vesuvius. This is a 4 credit hour course, and counts for both a TI and a PWB. Stop by Jordan 205 January 23, 2019 from 12pm-1pm and get more information about the trip, along with pizza and refreshments.<\/p>\n

Nemea Center for Classical Archaeology Field School<\/a> :\u00a0<\/strong>Gain\u00a0hands-on\u00a0experience\u00a0with\u00a0ancient\u00a0cultures,\u00a0learn\u00a0archaeological field\u00a0methods\u00a0(including\u00a0bio-archaeology),\u00a0and\u00a0help\u00a0process artifacts in\u00a0an\u00a0archaeological\u00a0museum.\u00a0Time will be spent in the museum on cleaning, conservation and cataloguing of artifacts and some afternoon hours may be necessary. Fieldwork may include excavation, survey site planning and conservation. This program counts for 6 credit hours\u00a0(CLA300, AN380 or HST305).
