Jen and Donna won the long term loan of the iPad 2′s at the CAT Showcase!! Congats ladies!! The turnout was great! Thanks to the Info Commons students who helped set this event up. Especially Meg Mayhew, Lauren Lubkowski and Kegan Saajasto.
During the event we overheard several conversations going on that were exactly what we wanted to happen. Faculty sharing ideals about how they use technology. Faculty and Staff learning about Info Commons, Google Docs and other resources they were unaware of and several nice comments about the room and the work we do on campus.
Thanks again to everyone for coming out and seeing the remodeled JH048!!! It’s open to faculty, staff and students all summer. Enjoy!

Win an iPad 2 at the Center for Academic Technology Showcase TODAY from 4-6 p.m. in JH048.
Join the Center for Academic Technology as we showcase our redesigned collaboration space in Jordan Hall 048. This room has been re-purposed to facilitate faculty and staff development, training sessions, meetings and rich media exploration.
Faculty and Staff members are welcome to gather here (24/7 via card access) to discuss the use of technology in education while having close access to CAT staff for consultation. This event also showcases various innovative projects that highlight how faculty have captured the intersection of pedagogy and technology in meaningful ways.
Come and explore this new space and learn more about the Center for Academic Technology and what we have to offer you. We will also have open registration for our summer faculty and staff development workshops and there will be a drawing for an iPad 2 at 5:45 p.m. One lucky faculty member and one staff member will be given an iPad 2. Information Technology staff are not eligible for the iPad 2 drawing. All entrants must be present to win! The iPad 2 remains the property of Butler University and must be returned when you leave the employment of Butler University.
