{"id":1054,"date":"2007-10-09T12:01:00","date_gmt":"2007-10-09T12:01:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.butler.edu\/dawgblog\/2007\/10\/holds-and-recalls\/"},"modified":"2007-10-09T12:01:00","modified_gmt":"2007-10-09T12:01:00","slug":"holds-and-recalls","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.butler.edu\/dawgblog\/2007\/10\/holds-and-recalls\/","title":{"rendered":"Holds and Recalls"},"content":{"rendered":"<h4>Renewals, Holds, and Recalls<\/h4>\n<p>Renewals, holds, and recalls may be made at the Circulation Desks, by telephone or e-mail: <\/p>\n<ul class=\"unbulletedList\">\n<li>Irwin Library: 940-9227 or <a href=\"mailto:circ@butler.edu\">circ@butler.edu<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Science Library: 940-9401 or <a href=\"mailto:scicirc@butler.edu\">scicirc@butler.edu<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>Patrons can also place a hold or make a renewal via <a href=\"http:\/\/hickory.palni.edu:4505\/F\/?func=bor-info&amp;local_base=plnbup\">My Library Card<\/a>. <br \/><\/h4>\n<h4>Recall Policy<\/h4>\n<p>When<br \/>\npatrons ask that an item be recalled, the requested materials will be<br \/>\nrecalled by the Libraries within three to seven days, <b>depending on the<br \/>\ncirculation status of the materials<\/b>.&nbsp; Recalled items require an additonal judgement call by staff; therefore, please contact a Circualation Associate or Brad with any recall requests. <\/p>\n<p><b>How Holds Work<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Once the item is returned ALEPH generates a print-out and also displays a message at the check-in screen. The item has a hold slip attached to it and it is&nbsp; placed on the hold shelf for the patron to pick up.
