February 12, 2009,<\/font> marks the two hundredth anniversary
\nof Lincoln\u2019s
\nbirth. The bicentennial is being celebrated throughout the nation.  Butler Libraries’ Special
\nCollections, Rare Books, and University Archives department of Irwin Library is
\ncelebrating with an exhibit entitled \u201cHere I Grew Up.\u201d  Lincoln lived in Indiana from age seven to
\ntwenty-one.<\/span><\/font><\/p>\n

Special Collections is home to \u201cLincolniana,\u201d a
\ncollection of pamphlets, booklets, manuscripts, and newspaper articles, mostly
\nfrom the collection of Charles W. Moores, an Indianapolis lawyer. It also houses the Donald
\nC. Durman Files: Lincoln Portraits in Stone, Wood, and Bronze, and a collection
\nof newspapers covering the assassination of Lincoln. The exhibit presents just a few items
\nfrom the rich variety of research materials on Lincoln available in the department.  The
\nexhibit is on the third floor of Irwin Library; drop by and wish Abe a happy
\n200th<\/sup> birthday!<\/span><\/font><\/p>\n
