{"id":1413,"date":"2005-08-24T02:35:00","date_gmt":"2005-08-24T02:35:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.butler.edu\/dawgblog\/2005\/08\/reference-changes\/"},"modified":"2005-08-24T02:35:00","modified_gmt":"2005-08-24T02:35:00","slug":"reference-changes","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.butler.edu\/dawgblog\/2005\/08\/reference-changes\/","title":{"rendered":"Reference Changes"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This summer the Irwin Library Reference Collection was changed.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Some<br \/>\nolder materials were pulled from Reference and moved to the circulating<br \/>\ncollection or the Annex (in the basement).<\/li>\n<li>Books were shifted around<br \/>\nand one book stack was eliminated completely.<\/li>\n<li>The Career Reference<br \/>\ncollection was moved to the end of the Reference materials (after the<br \/>\nZ&#8217;s).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This<br \/>\nis to help meet our Reference Goals of keeping a lean, current, usable<br \/>\nReference Collection, where all the materials are the best in their<br \/>\nsubject area. Rather than trying to collect everything on every topic,<br \/>\nlike larger libraries might, we are trying to provide the best of the<br \/>\nbest. That way you don&#8217;t have to determine for yourself which of a<br \/>\ndozen resources is the best to use. We&#8217;ve done that for you.That will<br \/>\nmean, however, that books will not be in the same place you used to<br \/>\nfind them.
