Directions on actually scanning the materials are<br \/>\nincluded at the bottom of this post.<\/p>\n<p>1. All Reference Materials (including Music Reference) are to be left on tables or carts.<\/p>\n<p>2. Reference Librarians will pick up books occasionally during the day and put them on the cart near the Reference Desk.<\/p>\n<p>3. Whoever is working the evening shift at the Reference Desk will scan<br \/>\nand then shelve the books on the cart. Preferably around 9:00 pm.<\/p>\n<p>4. Weekend reference staff should collect, scan, and shelve materials 1\/2 before their shift is done.<\/p>\n<p>5. Circulation workers do <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">not<\/span> need to shelve any Reference Materials. The reference librarians will be doing that.<\/p>\n<p>6. If you only have time to shelve a few books, only <span style=\"font-style: italic\">scan<\/span> a few books. Any books on the cart will be considered <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">un<\/span>scanned.<\/p>\n<p>Directions for scanning books (pretty simple).<\/p>\n<div style=\"margin-left: 40px\">1. Double-click on <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Ref Usage Study<\/span> on the Reference Desk computer&#8217;s desktop.<br \/>\n2. Scan the books to be shelved.<br \/>\n3. Close Excel (&#8220;yes&#8221; to save changes).<br \/>\n4.
