Through education and activism we strive to empower members of the Butler University community to evaluate the ecological impact of their activities and take constructive action.<\/p>\n<h4><span style=\"color: #99cc00\"><strong>Vision Statement:<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n<p>&#8211; We will help transform Butler University to a more sustainable community by advocating for stewardship and reduced consumption of the Earth&#8217;s natural resources.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; We will communicate to the entire Butler community the urgent need to: (1) take action to combat the destructive effects of global climate change, (2) participate in activism to increase awareness of our global responsibilities, and (3) protect the environment for all Earth\u2019s inhabitants.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; We will encourage students to care about their environment and promote the health of our planet so that its beauty and vitality is preserved for future generations.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<\/p>\n<p> About Us <\/p>\n<p>The Butler University Environmental Concerns Organization (ECO) is the largest sustainability-related student organization.
