By the way of Confucian teaching, women are not able to think for themselves much and had to submit themselves up for their husband. And when their husband passes, they must not submit to anyone else. The strong point is then brought up supporting Confucius in the way that the time period of the feudal age was in fact in session. Many people were not exposed to the same respecting and equality values that they are today. This argument was in favor and supporting Confucius solely based upon that people then acted much different than that of today.
