With only 5 more ICR sessions left, I thought I would provide an update as to how things are going and what is occurring over in Washington Township at Northview Middle School. Recently, we have been learning about the months and the weather. The weather has been a big topic and the students are really picking up on it quickly. They are learning how to use it in sentences, how to write it, and overall just how to comprehend it. The only trouble really has been the “th” sound in words like “weather” and “thunder” but we have been practicing that everyday!
Today was definitely worth mentioning because the class and the learning was all Halloween related which was really fun and cool. I walked in, and some students had some candy bags to give to me which was really thoughtful and shows that they care. We did fun word searches, speaking activities, crossword puzzles, and a Kahoot. It really is cool to see everyone just having so much fun learning English and I am super fortunate to be a part of these students journey’s. As always, I cannot wait for the next class!
