Today was the last day of my experience at Northview Middle School 🙁 It was honestly very sad to leave and even the students were quite sad. It has just been an amazing last few weeks and I will forever be grateful for my time spent in the classroom. I was able to make a lot of new friends and learn about many different people from many different walks of life. The time spent there will be with me forever and I will carry that with me forever!
What you learn is that, even though people who don’t speak the native language, they are still very smart and aware of the culture. I think a lot of times we think of non-native speakers as less than or not as capable, but this is no way in the case. Every individual has value and that was on high display during this experience!
