Photo with the Terracotta Warriors

A few days ago, I took a picture with the Terracotta Warriors. It was interesting to see how the replicas looked so similar to the real Terracotta Warriors. While I’ve never been to see the real ones, it was still special to see the replicas. I’ve seen pictures of the giant tomb of the warriors before and always wondered how people thousands of years ago assembled the warriors and placed them in perfect lines. I researched how exactly they sculpted these warriors and I found that archaeologists believe that they were built in an assembly line with certain molds for each body part yet designed so each one is unique. They were placed in the tomb to protect China’s first emperor in his afterlife. I think the fact that each warrior is distinct from each other symbolizes individuality in Chinese culture while also uniting several warriors in a single goal: to protect the emperor. This tomb is very interesting to me and I’m glad I was able to look at the replicas.
